Five By Sara Sohrabi Grade 7
Five is the number of states I've lived in
and I made it
My dad says that moving is great and that you get to see the rest of the world, My mom says that it's good to move and make new friends, I've lived in New York, Utah, Illinois, Minnesota, and New Jersey and I've made it.
Bacon
Bacon is red,
Bacon is rough,
One strip of a bacon is never enough.

By Frankie deFaria
Grade 7
I walk out onto my old rickety porch,
and I see the meadow of flowers,
and such I walk down the stairs and in spite of it all,
I realize the leaves start to fall, I look up to the canopy of leaves and see the sun shining down on me,
I realize the warm light upon my shoulder and take a seat on the nearest bolder,
I sit there and wait and let the light determine my fate.
Somewhere in this World
By Erin Kiesewetter grade 7
Somewhere in this world a toucan calls,
Somewhere in this world light works for all,
Somewhere in this world night becomes day,
Somewhere in this world people can and cannot pay.
Somewhere in this world people lose homes,
Somewhere in this world people repay loans,
Somewhere in this world people sit in treasuries,
Somewhere in this world people revisit memories.
By Stella Matsukawa
Grade 7
Winter
The snow covers the ground,
and the roads are nowhere to be found.
When the children got bundled up,
Their parents fill up their coffee cups.
Children ran outside with nothing but pure joy
The first sledder went down and flipped over, oh boy.
Freedom by Ella Jeffries Grade 7
I am seated on my woven raft of reeds,
The current pushing me back,
My weak arms try to fight the waves,
The wind lessens and my raft begins to drift towards shore,
Until I finally lie, chest heaving on the wooden dock. The air smells of smoke. But all I smell is freedom.
